You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes, not scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

SOFTBALL

Delaney Keith, Skyview: Led the Hawks back from the losers’ bracket to a repeat 5A state championship by going 13-for-25 with two doubles, three triples, four home runs and 12 RBIs.

Mantha Hatzenbeller, Owyhee: Helped lead the Storm to a 5A second-place finish in their first season. She went 6-for-15 with two home runs at the plate, and she earned the win in the circle in a 5-3 victory against Timberline in the semifinals.

Amber Thornton, Timberline: Went 2-2 with a 1.29 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 27 innings to lead the Wolves to a third-place finish at the 5A state tournament.

Ysabella Villegas, Bishop Kelly: Hit for the cycle in the first four innings of the 4A state championship game as the Knights won their third straight title. She finished the weekend 10-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs and nine RBIs.

Brooke Garman, Vallivue: Went 13-for-23 with two doubles, four home runs and eight RBIs to lead the Falcons to a second-place trophy in 4A, the best finish in program history.

Zayne Hall, Homedale: Led the Trojans to the 3A state title by going 8-for-22 with four home runs and 12 RBIs. She hit a home run in each of the two state championship games, including a grand slam in the final and decisive one.

Abi Wilkins, Weiser: Went 7-for-16 with three doubles, a triple, two home runs and eight RBIs to lead the Wolverines to the second-place trophy at the 3A state tournament.
