VOTE for the North Jersey hockey 3 Stars of the first week of the season

A new season of high school hockey is upon us in North Jersey and with it come some outstanding performances.

Each week, you'll be asked to select those that you believe stood out from the rest of the pack. Unlike normal polls, in the spirit of hockey, voters can choose up to three top performers in each poll.

The top three vote getters will be named one of NorthJersey.com's Three Stars of the Week. Voting concludes at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Here are the first week's nominees (from Nov. 26 until Dec. 5):

Antonio Arcaroli

Bergen Catholic senior

Arcaroli scored a hat trick for Bergen Catholic in a victory over St. Peter's Prep on Nov. 29, the first win of the season for the Crusaders.

John Dunphey

Ridgewood senior

Dunphey has a team-high six goals thus far for Ridgewood. The Maroons have 13 total goals in their first four games.

Braeden Guiterman

Ramapo junior

Guiterman has multiple points in all four games thus far for the Raiders, including the game-winning goal in a 5-4 win over Ridgewood in the season opener on Nov. 26.

Michael Hyland

Ramsey senior

The senior goalie came up big with 25 saves in a crucial 2-1 win over Passaic Tech on Dec. 5. Hyland averages 25 saves per start in the early season.

Mason Katz

Passaic Tech freshman

Katz stopped all 17 shots he faced in his varsity debut, the first shutout recorded in Passaic Tech hockey history. Katz has 58 saves in three games for the Bulldogs, including that 3-0 win over Chatham on Nov. 26.

Kris Krummins

Don Bosco junior

Following a season opening loss, Krummins scored a pair of goals for the Ironmen in a 4-1 win over Seton Hall Prep on Nov. 28.

Danny Mauriber

Ramapo junior

Mauriber has 11 points during Ramapo's 4-0 start to the season. Mauriber had a five point game (two goals, three assists) in an 8-2 win over Wayne Hills-Wayne Valley on Dec. 3.

Anthony Miller

Mahwah junior

Miller has recorded at least two points in every game thus far for the Thunderbirds this season. Miller scored a pair of goals and added an assist in a 4-1 win over West Milford-Pequannock on Dec. 5.

Jake Rosolanko

Ramapo junior

Rosolanko is already nearing a career high in points with 10 points after only three games played. Rosolanko was involved in all three goals, including scoring twice, during a 3-1 win over Lakeland on Dec. 5.

Charlie Wogisch

Lakeland junior

Wogisch has a four-game goal streak to begin the season for the Lancers. Wogisch is credited with a game-winning goal, a second period tally in a 6-2 win over West Milford-Pequannock on Nov. 26.
