It's time to vote for The News-Press Athlete of the Week sponsored by Babcock Ranch for Nov. 29-Dec. 4.
Nominees are derived from scores and stats emailed in by area coaches during the week. Voting begins at 10 a.m. Monday and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Coaches can email scores to sports@news-press.com. The deadline for each night’s results is 10:30 p.m. Voting is restricted to once per device an hour.

Here are the nominees for Nov. 29-Dec. 4:
Girls Basketball
Faith Plummer, Lehigh: Plummer led the Lightning with 26 points in a win against Bishop Verot and scored a team-high 16 in a win over Gateway High while adding 15 points in a loss to Golden Gate.
Boys Basketball
Anthony Ferguson, South Fort Myers: Ferguson scored a team-high 20 points in a win over Riverdale and added 16 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Gulf Coast.
Girls Soccer
Julia Fernandes, Gateway High: Fernandes netted a hat trick and added an assist as the Eagles won their first varsity game in program history 5-0 over Lehigh.
Boys Soccer
Dayllon De Paula, Riverdale: The junior propelled the Raiders to three big wins. He scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Mariner, the Raiders' first road win against the Tritons in 12 years. He scored two more in a 3-2 win over Cape Coral and another in a 2-0 win over South Fort Myers.
