Vote for the Herald News High School Baseball Player of the Week for May 16-21

FALL RIVER — As the spring season comes to a conclusion, Greater Fall River baseball players are looking to help their teams get a spot in the upcoming tournament.

There was a no-hitter, other great pitching performances and of course instant offense at the plate

Here's your chance to vote for the top players from last week.

Diman's Ian Morales Campbell captured The Herald News Baseball Player of the Week honors for May 9-14. He won a close race with 30% of the vote.

Durfee's Jacob Cavaco finished second with 27% of the vote followed by Connolly's Connor Travis finished with 23%.

This poll, which ends on May 27, involves baseball.

Jaryn Mitchell, Atlantis Charter

Mitchell collected the win on the hill against Avon.

Troy Senez, Atlantis Charter

Senes had a triple and a single against Sturgis West.

Nico Chaves, Connolly

Chaves collected a pair of hits against West Bridgewater.

Connor Travis, Connolly

Travis picked up the win on the hill against South Shore Christian. He also went 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Jayden Sousa, Connolly

Sousa went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored against Southeastern.

Aiden Cardoza, Stang

Cardoza got the win against St. Mary's (Lynn)..

Will LeBoeuf, Joseph Case

LeBoeuf had a pair of hits and scored a run against Wareham.

Colby Smith, Joseph Case

Smith pitched the complete game on the hill against Wareham, allowing two hits, no walks while striking out six.

Ryland Pacheco, Joseph Case

Pacheco pitched all five innings against Atlantis Charter, allowing just one hit, no runs while striking out eight.

Kole Andrade, Diman

Andrade pitched a complete-game win against Westport. He struck out seven, scattered three hits and walked three.

Dylan Amaral, Diman

Amaral tossed a no-hitter against Southeastern. He struck out 15 batters and walked just four batters.

Byron Bell, Diman

Bell was 2-for-2 with two RBI against Southeastern.

Ethan Cambra, Durfee

Cambra collected two hits, scored two runs and had an RBI against Bridgewater-Raynham.

Josh Martel, Durfee

Martel got the win on the hill against New Bedford, scattering eight hits and three earned runs while striking out four. He had a hit, scored a run and collected a pair of RBI.

Ryan Lopes, Durfee

Lopes finished with two doubles, scored three times and drove in two runs against New Bedford.

Cole Taylor, SBR

Taylor picked up the save in relief against Old Rochester, giving up one hit, no runs, a walk while striking out four. He also had a pair of hits.

Landon Richardson, SBR

Richardson had three hits and scored a pair of runs against Apponequet.

Max Morotti, Westport

Morotti pitched the complete-game win against Avon, allowing just two hits, an earned run, walking three and fanning 10 batters.

Cameron Leary, Westport

Leary went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and stolen base against Upper Cape.
