Harbor Creek player voted D-10 Midseason Breakout Male Basketball Player

Readers have selected Harbor Creek's Jaden Rocco as the District 10 Midseason Breakout Male Basketball Player.

He received a whopping 846 of the 2,635 votes over a 24-hour period. He beat out 14 other players in the poll, including the runner-up, Cathedral Prep's Jake Sambuchino, who had 630 votes.

Rocco, a 5-foot 10-inch senior guard, has emerged as a team leader for the Huskies. He helped them to a 10-3 start while averaging a team-high 15.7 points per game. He has teamed with junior center Nick Krahe (15.5 ppg) to give Harbor Creek a pair of 15-point scorers.

The Erie Times-News picked 15 players who were not among the Preseason Top 25 list. Those 15 players were placed into a poll, and readers will have 24 hours to pick the top Breakout Player. Voting took place Wednesday at 5 p.m. through Thursday at 5 p.m.
