Vote for The Charlotte Observer’s high school boys golfer of the year

Meet the nominees for The Charlotte Observer’s boys high school golfer of the year. This reader’s choice award will not affect the newspaper’s selections for its all-star team, which will appear in a few weeks.

To qualify, a golfer needed a top five finish at the NCISAA or NCHSAA state championships.

Seamus Bogan, Gaston Day: shot a 2-under-par 70 to win the NC Independent Schools 2A state championship.

Jack D’Amore, Gaston Day: Shot a 3-over-75 to finish fifth at the NC Independent Schools 2A state championship.

Colin Ferrick, Christ The King: Shot a two-day total of 156 to finish fourth in the NCHSAA 1A state championship.

Will Hartman, Charlotte Catholic: freshman shot a two-day 1-under-par 143 to win the NCHSAA 4A state championship.

Max Jacobson, Charlotte Country Day: Shot a 74 to finish in a tie for fifth at the NC Independent Schools 4A state championship.

Hunter Justice, Davidson Day: Shot a 1-under-par 71 to finish in a tie for second at the NC Independent Schools 2A state championship.

Nick Norman, Forestview: Shot a two-day total of 149 to finish second at the NCHSAA 2A state championship.

Davis Sayman, Charlotte Latin: Shot a 74 to finish in a tie for fifth at the NC Independent Schools 4A state championship.

Hudson Schulze, Charlotte Country Day: Shot a 74 to tie for fifth at the NC Independent Schools 4A state championship.

Steven Shea, Charlotte Catholic: junior shot a two-day total of 151 to finish in a tie for fourth at the NCHSAA 4A state championship.

Jack Wieler, Marvin Ridge: Shot a two-day total of 148 to finish second at the NCHSAA 4A state championship.
