Meet the Battle Creek Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Oaklawn Hospital.

Each week during the high school fall sports season, we will ask our readers to vote for the top performance of the week in all the fall sports, taking a look at events from Monday-Saturday.

Make sure to vote early and often for your pick, as the winner will get an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Lakeview Girls Swimming

Grace Hudson helped Lakeview win its fifth city title in a row at the 40th annual All-City Girls Swimming and Diving Championships. The senior had four first places, as she was on the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle individually. She was also part the winning relay teams in the 200 free and the 400 free.

Marshall Boys Soccer

Already the school's single-season and career record holder for goals, Marshall's Josh Pugh hit another milestone by scoring his 100th goal as a Redhawk. Pugh hit the century mark in a win over Lumen Christi where he scored in the first half in what was a tight contest at 1-1. Then, the senior added three more goals as Marshall pulled away for the win to give him 103 for his career.

Battle Creek Central Football

Running back Kailan Brown led BCC to a 29-15 win over Portage Central as the Bearcats remain in first place in the SMAC. Brown had a season-high 134 yards rushing and two touchdowns as BCC improved to 5-1 overall.

Lakeview Girls Cross Country

The Lakeview girls took first at the annual All-City Cross Country Meet, taking the top three spots. The Spartans were champs with a team score of 21, with Harper Creek second with 45. Pacing the Spartans was All-City champ Lila Mae Frank, who is just a freshman.

Lakeview Girls Golf

Lakeview girls golf won the Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference title with a first-place finish in the two-day tournament with a team score of 697. Three Spartans earned all-conference honors individually with Amiyah Gibson finishing with an 84, to lead the team.
