Volunteers build beds for children in need at Orlando Sanford International Airport

A nonprofit organization worked with a local airport to build beds for children who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor, with their siblings or with their parents.

Orlando Sanford International Airport worked with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to bring beds to children in need during the holiday season.

Over 70 employees and volunteers made more than 40 single beds and bunk beds at the event on Friday.

Volunteers were trained on the spot as they sanded, stained and assembled the beds that would be delivered to local children.
