Vanderbilt football lands commit from London Humphreys, 3-star CPA receiver

Vanderbilt football landed a commitment from 3-star wide receiver London Humphreys of Nashville's Christ Presbyterian Academy on Friday. Humphreys announced his decision on Twitter.

The Commodores landed brothers Langston and Kane Patterson from CPA for the 2022 season, Langston out of high school and Kane as a transfer from Clemson.

Humphreys also had offers from Virginia, Boston College, Kansas, Minnesota and South Carolina among others.

Humphreys is rated the 25th-best prospect in Tennessee by the 247Sports Composite. He helped lead CPA back to the Division II-AA state championship last season catching 45 passes for 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He was also a standout in track repeating as the Division II-AA long jump champion while also winning state titles in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.

Humphreys is the 10th commit for 2023 for Clark Lea and the fourth receiver. Fellow in-state product Junior Sherrill of Lipscomb Academy also committed earlier this week. The two join Mount Juliet's Ethan Crisp as local commits in the class, which is ranked 49th overall in the early stages.
