HOOVER, Ala. — After beating Ole Miss in a late-night rain-delayed game Tuesday, Vanderbilt baseball is now set for a rematch with No. 1 Tennessee on Thursday in the SEC Tournament.

The game is scheduled to start 30 minutes after the Florida-Texas A&M game on SEC Network.

The top-seeded Vols (49-7swept the Commodores (36-19) earlier this season. Coach Tim Corbin and the Vanderbilt players downplayed the significance of the opponent, suggesting they would treat it like any other.

Blade Tidwell (2-1, 2.63 ERA) is expected to start for the Vols. The Commodores' game notes list their projected starter as left-hander Devin Futrell (8-3, 3.15 ERA).

Tennessee last played Saturday, completing the sweep of Mississippi State. Vanderbilt was swept by LSU before winning its opener.

This is the double-elimination portion of the bracket, in which teams are eliminated after losing twice. With three of the eight games originally scheduled for the first two days of the tournament postponed, it is unclear if there will be any alterations to the original schedule.
