‘The internet never forgets’: Twitter pokes fun at Ivanka Trump for congratulating Boris Johnson as new Prime Minister of United 'Kingston’

Like father, like daughter.

When tweeting out her congratulations to Boris Johnson, the newly-elected prime minister of the U.K., Ivanka Trump mistakenly wrote “United Kingston” instead of “United Kingdom” in her message.

Although the original tweet has since been deleted and the first daughter posted a new message with the correct spelling, the internet isn’t letting Ivanka live it down.

Some people have reposted screenshots of the White House senior adviser’s original tweet with the spelling error to poke fun, prompting “United Kingston” to trend on Twitter.

Twitter users also jokingly compared the mistake to President Trump’s tweet praising the “Prince of Whales” in June. People online are calling on the White House to try using spell check more often.

The tweet comes after Boris Johnson was elected the leader of the Conservative Party over opponent Jeremy Hunt. The pro-Brexit politician is set to replace Theresa May as Britain’s prime minister and will be brokering a deal for U.K.’s exit from the European Union.

President Trump, who has been a vocal supporter of Boris Johnson, also tweeted out his congratulations to the incoming United Kingdom Prime Minister — correctly.
