UNC’s Drake Maye is among the four best odds to win the Heisman

Through the first 12 weeks of the college football season, all the Heisman Trophy discussions have been aimed at CJ Stroud, Caleb Williams, Hendon Hooker, and more recently Bo Nix.

However, North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye is having a monster season. The redshirt freshman from Charlotte has been outperforming all of them. Maye is leading the nation in touchdown passes and second in yards.

Perhaps the game against Notre Dame, where UNC fell to the Irish has been keeping him out of the national discussion. In that game, all Maye did was throw for 301 yards and 5 touchdowns. Hard to knock him for that performance.
