Ulrika Jonsson has confessed to suffering from “crippling anxiety” which leaves her feeling disabled.
The 51-year-old TV presenter shared a picture of her 11-year-old son Malcolm at the dentist on Instagram revealing his nervousness had made her realise she has developed anxiety herself.
Jonsson wrote: “Took the youngest to [the] dentist... Didn’t realise he was so nervous.
”But it reminded me of the crippling (yes, I feel disadvantaged and dis-abled by it) anxiety I continue to suffer.
”It comes in great waves that swallow me whole and other times creeps up on me like a s***ty earwig popping out of a dahlia, startling and catching me off guard.
“I know anxiety is very “in” at the moment - everyone has it. But for me it’s a reasonably new thing to add to the various other faults I come with.
“Behind the flowers and cooking and napkin-folding, I’m often Anxiety Central.”
Last month Jonsson shared her relief that her divorce from American advertising executive Brian Monet had been finalised.
The Gladiators posted her Decree Absolute on Instagram and wrote: “You know when you’ve waited for something for so long but it still catches your breath and your eyes sting with tears when it finally arrives.
”Overwhelming relief really. Because now I’m free to marry again!!! (Very jokes and lols OBVS).”
Jonsson had previously confessed her marriage to Monet - with whom she shares her youngest child - had been “sexless” for 10 years.

She revealed: “Nearly two years ago, just before my 50th birthday, I remember thinking I might have to just accept that I would never have sex ever again.
“The reason I thought this is because I had not had sex for four and half years. And the time before that was four years prior. I was living in a sexless marriage for nearly a decade.
"That just didn’t feel right. It felt unnatural and as if part of my life was over.”
