UConn women land Top 5 2024 recruit Ziebell

Dec. 3—KK Arnold will be the first recruit from Wisconsin to play for the UConn women's basketball team when she steps on the court next year.

It didn't take coach Geno Auriemma long to land a second player from Wisconsin to join her.

Allie Ziebell, a 6-foot junior guard from Neenah, Wisconsin, announced her verbal commitment to UConn via Twitter on Saturday. According to the Post-Crescent of Appleton, her scholarship offers included Wisconsin (coached by former UConn assistant Marisa Moseley), Wisconsin-Green Bay, Marquette, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Xavier.

Ziebell led the state in scoring as a sophomore at 30.2 points per game while adding 7.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3.6 steals. She led Neenah to a sectional final appearance and a 22-6 record. She was selected to the WBCA Division I All-State first team.

She took part in USA Basketball's U-17 national team trials in May.

Neenah is 5-0 her junior year with Ziebell leading the way in scoring (20.5), rebounds (9.0) and assists (6.8), the Post-Crescent added.
