Georgetown (30-22, 10-10) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after an inning before adding a run in the second.

UConn (43-11, 16-3) got a run back in the third when Bryan Padilla scored on Erik Stock's sacrifice fly. But the Hoyas pushed the lead back to three in the bottom of the inning and scored five times in the fourth to blow it open.

Padilla finished 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk, a RBI and two runs scored. T.C. Simmons added two hits. Starter Austin Peterson (9-2) took the loss.

Christian Ficca and Ethan Stern each had two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored in the win. Cam Meyer added two RBIs. Carter Bosch (6-3) earned the win while Angelo Tonasa (7) notched the save.

CCSU: Hunter Pasqualini (South Windsor) when 3-for-4 with two runs scored as the Blue Devils rallied late to top Merrimack 6-1 in a Northeast Conference game in New Britain.

Pasqualini scored on Noah Martinez's sacrifice fly in the first to give Central (26-16, 15-10) the lead. He scored again on Dan Covino's single in to kickstart a five-run eighth inning. Merrimack is 17-29-1 (12-13).
