Woman, 25, and girl, 7, found dead in car submerged in Northridge Lake

A 25-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl were found dead Thursday in a car submerged in Northridge Lake on the city's northwest side, Milwaukee police said.

Police said they responded about 12:30 p.m. after someone noticed the vehicle in the water.

Crews from the Milwaukee Fire Department responded and pulled the two bodies from the water, police said in a news release.

Police said the circumstances that led to the deaths of the woman and the girl are under investigation. The two were not immediately identified.
