Two men died and at least three others were injured in two separate stabbing incidents in London over the weekend.

Seven men were arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after a 27-year-old man was stabbed to death at a house party in Whitechapel on Saturday morning.

A man was also found stabbed to death after a car crash in near West Ealing railway station shortly before 1.20am on Sunday.

Detectives do not believe the victim, who is in his 20s, was killed in a “road rage” attack but was in fact injured before the collision.

Police were called shortly before 1.20am on Sunday and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found in a car suffering from a stab wound.

The victim has not been formally identified, but Scotland Yard said inquiries are under way to trace his family.

No arrests have been made and a post-mortem examination has not yet been carried out to determine the cause of death.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who was at the party in Buckle Street on Saturday.

“Even if you think you have nothing to offer, please do make the call.

“You may have information that confirms something we have been told or you may hold information that is vital to the investigation.”

According to BBC News, 129 murder investigations have been launched in the capital this year - 126 by the Met Police and three being led by the British Transport Police.

While most murder investigations have seen someone charged, only two cases involving teenage murder victims have resulted in convictions.

The number of teenagers stabbed to death in London has also reached its highest level since 2008.
