SAN DIEGO – David Onama looked like he had Nate Landwehr dead to rights in the first round at UFC on ESPN 41. But then the tables turned.

After Onama (10-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) scored a pair of slick knockdowns in the opening frame of the featherweight co-headliner on Saturday at Pechanga Arena, it looked like the result was inevitable. Then the second round began, and Landwehr (16-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) turned the tide and started to take over.

Landwehr used grappling pressure, submission attempts and strikes to ware Onama down all through the second stanza. Onama showed incredible hard by throwing for the finish in the third round, and nearly got it, but ultimately Landwehr left with the majority decision win.
