No. 6 Michigan remained unbeaten on Saturday when it defeated Northwestern on Saturday, 33-7.

The Wolverines earned the inaugural George Jewett Trophy between the Wildcats and the maize and blue, but the first half didn’t look like it was going to be easy. Michigan came out looking lethargic on offense, and the defense allowed some big plays — like a 75-yard touchdown run and multiple screen plays that went for more yards than they should’ve.

Michigan came out in the second half and played in dominating fashion. The Wolverines outscored the Wildcats in the second half, 23-0. The maize and blue forced two turnovers and the defense continued to cause havoc against Ryan Hilinski.

The Michigan offense relied heavily on its running game, and it worked. The Wolverines rushed for 294 yards, and both Blake Corum and Hassan Haskins had two touchdowns each.

There was plenty of reactions from the game and here were some of the best.
