DOVER — The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market will kick off its 14th season from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 1 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds.

Vendors and volunteers will offer a producers-only market comprising vendors from within 50 miles of the Dover/New Philadelphia area.

All participating vendors must be the author of the products they sell, as buying and reselling is not permitted. The market is held rain or shine. It moves under the grandstands when inclement weather is expected.

New vendors include:

• 3Peas MarketGarden (full-time vendor), lettuce, baby greens, radish, peas, carrots, Swiss chard, kale, squash, beets, beans, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers.

• Bake N Spoon (part-time vendor, first and third weeks of the month), fruit pies, cream pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, candy, breads, soups, jams, and other seasonal items.

• Eagleton Farms & Gardens (seasonal vendor, July), blueberries, raspberries, sunflowers, daisies, jams, syrup, zucchinis, and cucumbers.

• Edelweiss Ridge Farm (part-time vendor, first and third weeks of the month), free-range duck, chicken, and bantam chicken eggs; blown and cleaned eggs for decorating; unusual and eccentric produce, herbs and flowers.

• Ellington Farms (part-time vendor, second and fourth weeks of the month), beef snack sticks, steaks, ground, roasts, pork roasts, chops, sausage in its many forms, chicken breasts, thighs, drumsticks, chicken sausage, eggs, spices curated with meats, farm hats, and goat soap made with lard.

• Magnolia Spring Farm (part-time vendor, third week of the month) – Fresh flower bouquets (including peonies, ranunculus, sweet peas, sunflowers, dahlias, and more), dried flowers, handmade floral soaps, wreaths, flower and veggie starts and plugs, heirloom pumpkins, and heirloom veggies.

• Modern Remedies (full-time vendor), BD honey, full-spectrum CBD oil in vanilla/caramel and peppermint, and CBD body butter.

• Rae’s Custom-Made Chipotle Seasoning (full-time vendor), three blends of dry seasonings.

Returning vendors this season include Bosler’s Honey, Bees & Accessories, BYOB Home Bakery, Camp Tuscazoar, Celebration Wines, Fierbaugh Farms, Fuhrer’s Farm & Rabbitry, Grown by Grace, Haff’s Hot Sauce, Holly Ho-Made, Joe's Sourdough Bread, Kneuss Family Farms, Michael’s Confections, Miller Farmstead, Miller's Mushrooms, Missions Café, Mudd & Gilly’s Wine Co., Paint Valley, Passion at Midnight Macarons, Possum Products, Quince Bakery, Shady Grove Greenhouse, Spring Valley Farm, Weaver’s Truck Patch, Yoder Acres Produce, and Yoder’s Handmade Scents. Each week there will be food trucks set up on site at the market, including: Full of Wander Mobile Eatery (first Wednesday of the month), Three Lil Piggies BBQ (second Wednesday of the month), Messdad's Concession (third Wednesday of the month), Don Polo Mexican Cuisine (fourth Wednesday of the month), Miller's Creamery (fourth Wednesday of the month), Schloneger's Old Fashioned Ice Cream (various dates) and Amish Country Donuts (various dates).

The TVFM is bringing back cooking demonstrations. Most will be on the first Wednesday of the month. They will feature chefs Mary Marshall (June 8, July 6 and Sept. 7) and Sherry Schie (Aug. 3 and Oct. 5). The first will be held June 8, the second Wednesday in June. They begin at 5 p.m. in the Clover Café.

Each week, the market will feature community partners offering useful information to shoppers as well as live music by local musicians from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sister duo the Kodachrome Babies will be the featured musicians on opening day. If you don’t have cash, you can bring your credit or debit card to the market’s information booth to swipe and receive Carrot Cash tokens you can use anywhere at the market just like cash. The farmers market participates in several programs to assist qualifying individuals with the cost of purchasing fresh produce at the market. The market accepts SNAP/Ohio Direction Card (EBT), P-EBT (school lunch card), Produce Perks, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers, and WIC vouchers.
