TUESDAY'S GIRLS' BASKETBALL MATCHUPS

Edgewood (16-4) at Bloomington North (9-11)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Gary Sims, 214-126 in 14th year at Edgewood. Jeff Turmail, 33-79 in 5th year at Bloomington North.

LAST OUTING: Edgewood defeated Monrovia, 63-30. Bloomington North lost to Columbus North, 58-40.

SERIES LAST 20 YEARS: Bloomington North, 16-7.

LAST MEETING: Edgewood, 43-23, Jan. 26, 2021.

OUTLOOK: Edgewood will be playing its first game since Jan. 10 after a COVID break, finishing the season with two of its biggest rivals (at Owen Valley on Thursday). North has lost six of its last eight and still looking for its first 10-win season since 2010-11. Edgewood is 3-4 when allowing 40 points or more. Mustangs have won five out of the last seven in the series.

Indianapolis HomeSchool (19-3) at Bloomington South (5-17)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Larry Winters, 318-192 in 23rd year at Bloomington South.

LAST OUTING: Indianapolis HomeSchool lost to Northridge, 63-44. Bloomington South defeated Eastern Greene, 50-44.

SERIES LAST 20 YEARS: Bloomington South, 6-0.

OUTLOOK: South continues to look for momentum, having won three of its last four, and this game will spell the end of the regular season and a 10-day break before the sectional opener. The Wildcats started the season 17-0 but January schedule has included Warren Central, University, Lowell and Culver Academies. They're averaging 63 ppg, led by senior guard Gloria Brewer (24 ppg, 8 rpg, 6 spg).
