Tuesday's high school scores: Dighton-Rehoboth baseball's win streak snapped by Norton

DIGHTON— All good things must come to an end, and that's just what happened to Dighton-Rehoboth baseball's win streak Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons had their four game win streak snapped by Norton as they fell 5-1 at home in non-league action and are now 10-6 overall.

The Lancers struck first in the top of the second as Ryan Fitzroy drove in Jack Nihill off a sac fly to center to go up 1-0 then added three more runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh while D-R scored just once in the bottom of the sixth as Ben Miller drove in Hendrix Pray on an RBI double.

Falcons starter Gavin Salera took the loss after going five and a third innings giving up nine hits and four runs while striking out three. Miller went an inning giving up a run, a hit and three walks while striking out one and Charlie Roth pitched the remaining two-thirds forcing the two batters he faced to fly out to center and ground out to short respectively.

At the plate, Pray led the way for D-R going two-for-four with a run while Miller went two-for-three with an RBI.

The Falcons return to action Friday when they travel to Lakeville to face Apponequet.

GIRLS LACROSSE

New Bedford 12, Bridgewater-Raynham 8

The Trojans fell to the Whalers at home in Southeastern Conference action and are now 2-12 on the season.

Sophia Perry led the way for B-R with three goals while Emily Keefe and Ashley McLaren each had two and Lauren Monahan had one.

The Trojans return to action Wednesday when they take on Attleboro.

BOYS TENNIS

Durfee 5, Bridgewater-Raynham 0

The Trojans were swept on the road by the Hilltoppers in SEC action and are now 2-8 overall.

B-R returns to action Thursday against Brockton.

Taunton 3, Milford 2

The Tigers took down Milford in a tight contest on their home courts to notch their second team win on the season.

Taunton is on the road again Wednesday to face Mansfield.
