TSSAA football BlueCross Bowl Class 5A championship: Page vs Knox West score updates
Page will be seeking its first state football championship and Knox West will try for its second as a program when the two teams battle in the TSSAA BlueCross Bowl Class 5A state title game at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium Friday (7 p.m. ET kickoff).
The Patriots (12-2) were in last year's 5A finals, falling to Powell 42-34 in their only BlueCross Bowl appearance. Knox West (14-0) reached the title game in both 2013 (runner up) and 2014, where they won the title in a 23-6 win over Hillsboro.
Page defeated Henry County 27-24 in the 5A semifinals while Knox West knocked off defending champ Powell 28-21.

Another West touchdown by a different Latham
Cayden Latham, the twin brother of Brayden Latham, reeled in a 36-yard TD pass from Carson Jessie to allow West to ice the game Friday.
West now leads 47-13 and a running clock will begin. Jessie is 18-of-24 passing for 286 yards with four TDs and an interception.
West putting finishing touches on perfect season
Brayden Latham scored his third TD of the night, this time on a 33-yard run to extend West's lead to 40-13 in the Class 5A state championship game.
Latham has 98 yards on 23 carries for the Rebels, who are closing in on a 15-0 season.

West lead grows, crucial drive coming for Page
Brayden Latham capped a seven-play, 40-yard drive with an 8-yard TD run to the West corner of the end zone.
The score gives the Rebels a 33-13 lead with 6:14 left in the third quarter. Latham has 19 carries for 49 yards with two TDs. And now Page faces a critical drive.

West extends lead to 26-13 before halftime
Knoxville West's Carson Jessie threw a dart to RJ Brooks for a 21-yard TD with 16 seconds left in the first half. The score gave West a 26-13 lead at halftime.
Jessie was 14-of-15 passing for 215 yards and three TDs in the first half. Brooks now has 10 catches for the season. Eight of those catches are for TDs.
Colin Hurd was 10-of-17 passing for 147 yards and a TD for Page in the first half. Max Collins had three catches for 93 yards and a TD.

Syxx Hoard answered Page's 69-yard TD reception with a 37-yard TD score to cap a three-play, 53-yard drive. The score gave the Rebels a 19-13 lead after Tyson Siebe's PAT.

Page's Max Collins quickly put the Patriots back in the lead. He caught a Colin Hurd pass and ran it 69 yards for the touchdown, outrunning a defender the last several yards.
Hurd is 9-of-16 passing for 142 yards. Collins has three catches for 93 yards.

Marshaun Bowers sprinted down the West sideline after catching a pass from Carson Jessie for a 25-yard TD reception.
The score gave West a 12-7 lead with 5:22 left in the first half.
Jesse threw an incomplete pass on the 2-point conversion attempt.

Page takes lead
Page has taken a 7-6 lead in the TSSAA Class 5A BlueCross Bowl after Colin Hurd capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a 6-yard TD run.
Page's Ethan Lisman hit the PAT to give the Patriots a 7-6 lead with 6:32 left in the first half.
West on scoreboard
Mr. Football finalist Brayden Latham scored on a 7-yard TD run with 10:15 left in the second quarter to give West a 6-0 lead over Page in the Class 5A BlueCross Bowl. Latham capped a nine-play, 52-yard drive.

Page and Knoxville West are scoreless in the TSSAA Class 5A BlueCross Bowl after the first quarter. West has 66 total yards to Page's 13 and will open the second quarter on the Page 19.
