Trump says 'Hollywood is racist': Movies getting made are 'very dangerous for our country'

President Trump lashed out at Hollywood during a press conference outside the White House on Friday, accusing the industry of racism. The comments came as reporters questioned him on his handling of the recent mass shootings in Texas and Ohio.

“Hollywood is really terrible,” he said. “You talk about ‘racist?’ Hollywood is racist. What they’re doing with the kind of movies they’re putting out, it’s actually very dangerous for our country,” he added.

Trump appeared to be referring to a controversial film called The Hunt, which features liberal-elites hunting down conservatives, referred to as “deplorables,” for sport. “What Hollywood is doing is a tremendous disservice to our country,” said Trump.

He also accused Hollywood of political bias. “They treat conservatives, republicans totally different than they treat others, and they can’t do that,” he said.

Following his comments, Trump took to Twitter where he continued to express his dissatisfaction with Hollywood:
