Tropical Storm Bonnie Approaches Central America

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) confirmed a potential tropical cyclone had formed into a tropical storm on Friday morning, July 1, possibly bringing life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides to Central America.

The NHC forecast the storm would make landfall in southern Nicaragua and Costa Rica after passing over the Colombian island of San Andres in the Caribbean Sea.
