Here are trick-or-treat nights and other Halloween events in Franklin County

Even families with the busiest schedules should be able to find a free night to go trick-or-treating this year in Franklin County. Local towns and organizations offer plenty of opportunities to fill your pumpkin buckets.

This list also includes Halloween parades.

Friday, Oct. 21

SD (Street Distortianz) Trunk or Treat: 6-9 p.m., Alpha Fitness, 100 Sunset Blvd., Chambersburg

Saturday, Oct. 22

Trunk or Treat: 3-5 p.m., Waynesboro Area YMCA, 810 E. Main St., Waynesboro. Prizes for best-decorated trunks; waynesboroymca.org/trunk-or-treat-2022/.

Shippensburg Halloween Parade: 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Corn Maze Trick or Treat: 6-8 p.m., Stoner’s Dairy Farm, 7679 Oeillig Road, Mercersburg. For kids 10 and younger; limited to first 300; https://stonersdairyfarm.com/go/trick_or_treat/.

Thursday, Oct. 27

Borough of Greencastle: 6-8 p.m. (rain date, Oct. 28)

Borough of Mont Alto: 6-8 p.m.

Trunk or Treat/Light Up the Night: 6-8 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 45 N. Washington St., Greencastle. Hot dogs will be available. More info: fumcgreencastle.org

Friday, Oct. 28

Borough of Mercersburg: 7-9 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 29

Trick or Treat on Main: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., downtown Chambersburg. Businesses will hand out candy. Costume contest at 1:30 at Courthouse Plaza (arrive at 1).

Divine Halloween Bash: Noon to 5 p.m., Chambersburg Mall. Trunk-or-treat, cornhole, costume contest and more.

Monday, Oct. 31

Relax Lounge: 4-9 p.m., 1580 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg. Costumed staff members will hand out candy and prizes throughout the evening.

Trunk or Treat: 6-8 p.m., New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg; ngbic.org/events-1/trunk-or-treat-1

Borough of Chambersburg: 6-8 p.m. (The borough does not schedule a trick-or-treat night; this is the time it suggests)

Borough of Waynesboro: 6-8 p.m.

Washington Township: 6-8 p.m.

Mercersburg Halloween Parade: 6-8 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

Franklin County Trunk or Treat: 6-8 p.m., Chambersburg Mall parking lot. Representatives from the Franklin County Adult Probation Department, Franklin County Juvenile Probation, the Franklin County Jail, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, local law enforcement agencies, first responders and other organizations will distribute candy. Candy donations accepted at the Franklin County Adult Probation office, 440 Walker Road, Chambersburg, until Oct. 31 (must be sealed in original packaging). More info: Kayla Stoner at kbstoner@franklincountypa.gov
