There’s nothing quite like the feeling of getting together with your co-workers and complaining about everything.

Thanks to TikTok, that’s an experience plenty of baristas are now getting to experience online. It’s all thanks to a new trend on the app that has coffee shop workers sharing their “worst-ever” customer requests.

It’s unclear who exactly started the trend, but a great example comes from a former Starbucks barista named erineec. Her video, which has drawn 2.1 million views in just three days, reenacts an encounter with a customer who insisted her order was wrong simply because her name wasn’t on it.

According to the video, erineec told the angry customer she was sure it was her drink, and that the sticker with her name just fell off the cup. The customer still refused the drink.

“I can’t take that,” the customer allegedly said after erineec opened the drink to show it was hers. “You put your f****** nose in it.”

After erineec remade the drink, she presented it to the frustrated customer, who refused the cup again.

“I can’t take that,” the customer allegedly said. “Because you made it.”

There are countless TikToks following similar formats, most of which use the same, dramatic audio track. In another video, a barista detailed the time a female customer refused her drink several times, all because she said her husband wouldn’t drink out of a pink cup.

Other videos range from tragic (drinking the wrong order on purpose) to frustrating (asking if black coffee is sugar-free) to downright confusing (demanding a latte be reheated to “burn out” the lactose).

Mainly, TikTok users have been sympathetic in their comments. Many chimed in to write how “crazy” and frustrating coffee shop customers can be.

“That’s why I would deny them service,” one user wrote.

“This would be when I lose my job,” another added.

“Working at a coffee shop sounds like hell,” another wrote.
