Travis Kelce excited about 'crazy opportunity' to meet Trump

The customary White House invite for the Super Bowl champion is often a polarizing topic, but Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has made his stance clear.

Kelce was tracked down by TMZ and asked if he’d join his teammates on their visit to meet with President Donald Trump.

“Oh, yeah! Always, man!" Kelce said Wednesday. "Crazy opportunity!"

It’s not just Kelce who will be on the trip, as head coach Andy Reid along with Tyreek Hill and Bashaud Breeland confirmed they’ll be visiting the White House.

Trump has often antagonized NFL players during his regime, imploring NFL owners to fire anyone who protested racial inequality and police brutality during the national anthem.

"Every one of them wants to be here. And the coach loves us. The coach is great. Andy Reid,” Trump said earlier this month.

Trump infamously congratulated the state of Kansas after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers, apparently unaware that Kansas City is located in Missouri. There’s been no word on whether he’s been issued a geography lesson ahead of the team’s visit.
