ADELAIDE, Australia (AP) — Australia striker Tomi Juric is returning to the A-League with Adelaide United after five seasons playing in Europe.
Juric, who had A-League stints with Adelaide and Western Sydney from 2013-15 and has played 41 internationals for the Socceroos, returns after playing in the Netherlands, Switzerland and most recently in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia.
“I’m delighted to be coming back home . . . Adelaide United has a good project in place, I’m excited to be a part of it,” Juric said in a statement on Thursday.
Juric’s signing follows Adelaide recruitment of Spaniard Javi Lopez for the A-League season which starts late next month.
Lopez, 34, has spent the past 11 years in the Spanish league with Espanyol, serving as captain for the past five years.
