On Monday, the Big Ten Conference announced its punishments for the Michigan tunnel incident after the Michigan-Michigan State football game.

Shortly afterward, MSU basketball head coach Tom Izzo shared his disapproval for the punishments, which included a $100,000 fine for MSU, the largest fine in Big Ten history.

Mainly, Izzo is frustrated the situation that led to the incident existed in the first place. Michigan’s program was only publicly reprimanded by the Big Ten for not having proper security protocols to prevent postgame hostilities.
