Tom Brady jumps above Peyton Manning on all-time passing list

Remember when people used to talk about who was better, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning? It used to be a debate, but with every new Super Bowl ring and record broken by the Patriot the conversation dies a little bit more.

In the New England Patriots 35-14 win over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football, Brady surpassed Manning in the record for all-time leading passer, with only Drew Brees left ahead of him.

In the first quarter, he threw a 19-yard completion to Sony Michel to pass Manning on the list, and eventually finished the night with 334 yards. And to add to all those yards, he even rushed for two touchdowns. He’s now on 72,257, 2,588 yards behind the Saints quarterback.

The same three players also lead the record for touchdowns. Manning leads, for now, with Brady just 12 behind and five ahead of Brees. The Pats remain undefeated so far this season with a perfect 6-0 record. Brady, now 42, has said he has a few more years left in him, and given the highlights reel that he put up last night, who would doubt him?
