Subtle hints suggest several TikTok stars may get their own TV shows soon: 'Business-savvy young adults'

TikTok stars have likely taken over your phone in the past few months — and now some of them are on their way to becoming TV stars, too.

Bloomberg reported back in April that top executives are batting around possible ideas for TikTok-based reality shows, and it looks like at least one is coming to fruition.

Other show ideas are still lingering in the “rumor” phase, but you never know — the next “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” could be on the horizon.

Here’s what we know so far.

Members of a TikTok creator collective known as the Hype House are getting their own reality TV show, according to Deadline.

Wheelhouse Entertainment is reportedly developing and producing a series known as the “The Hype Life,” which is being billed as a docuseries that offers an exclusive look into the lives of Hype House members such as Chase Hudson, Tony Lopez, Madi Monroe and many others.

“Hype House is a creative rocket ship, piloted by extremely hard-working, business-savvy young adults who have already built incredible audiences,” Eric Watternberg, the Wheelhouse Group chief creative officer and president of Wheelhouse Entertainment, told Deadline.

The news comes amid accusations that Hype House members are skirting social distancing guidelines to throw parties that are allegedly getting people sick.

The D’Amelio Family

Charli D’Amelio, the most-followed user on TikTok and a former Hype House member, hinted that her famous family may take the plunge into reality TV soon in an April interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The star, along with her sister Dixie and parents Marc and Heidi, reportedly signed with talent agency UTA in January — so it’s only a matter of time before a major gig comes their way.

“I mean, definitely something that would be super fun,” Charli told Entertainment Tonight when asked about a possible reality show. “[Our fans] love when we go live, so that’s super fun … Maybe [we can] try some new things.”

The Easterling Family

Addison Rae Easterling, a Hype House member known simply as Addison Rae, has also dropped hints that she’s interested in entering the reality TV realm.

The TikTok star, who recently launched a podcast with her mom Sheri called “Mama Knows Best,” had fans speculating about a possible move to TV after she left a few subtle Instagram comments.

One user commented in June that Rae should make a YouTube video about her family and what they do to create TikTok videos together. “Or a whole season?” Rae responded.

“You guys need to create a show I would watch it non-stop,” another fan wrote. Rae replied with the eyes emoji, which many fans interpreted as a sign that a similar idea is in development

Time will tell which of these shows end up on television — but until then, we’ll just be enjoying all the drama on TikTok.
