NAPAVINE — The Tigers did what they have done all season Friday night in their penultimate game against Forks, decimating the would-be challengers, 60-0, to capture the Central 2B North title on senior night.

The previously unbeaten Spartans and sole challengers to the Tigers top spot proved to be no match for the No. 1 ranked team in Washington 2B football, as the Tigers won yet another league game by double digits.

With just one league game left to play next week against Morton-White Pass, Napavine has already locked up the No. 1 seed in the league.

"We have never put a lot of weight into league championships," Tigers coach Josh Fay said. "The biggest goal is to make it to state, and then make a run."

The Tigers are well on their way, with a perfect record and another dominant win.

Quarterback Ashton Demarest spearheaded the attack, passing for 249 yards, rushing for 100, and accounting for five touchdowns in the win.

"He was solid, a lot of that was our offensive line," Fay said. "Defensively we were really good, I'm really proud of these guys."

Fay's defense held the Spartans offense to just 155 yards, and kept them off the board for the entirety of the game in a dominant display.

"It was an awesome way to send our seniors off," Fay said.

Multiple seniors got in on the scoring action, including reserve back Jadon Tabor, who scored from 9 yards out for the game's last score in the fourth.

The Tigers will look to keep the perfect streak alive as they head to Morton-White Pass next Thursday for their final regular season game.
