Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

BOYS SOCCER

  • Arnulfo Salcedo, Jose Luis Santiago Miranda and Alex Cuevas scored goals to lead Channel Islands (6-3-6, 2-1-2) to a 3-1 win over Pacifica in a Pacific View League match. Ian Montelongo scored a goal off an assist from Mike Sauceda for the Tritons (9-4-6, 3-1-2).

  • Nathan Lopez and Andrew Alonso scored goals and Angel Lopez had an assist to lead Buena (5-5-4, 2-0-2) to a 2-0 victory over Oxnard (6-5-6, 1-3-3) in a Pacific View League match.

  • Julian Aguilar scored the game's lone goal and goalie Ben Garcia posted another shutout to lead Rio Mesa (8-8-6, 1-1-3) to a 1-0 victory over Ventura (5-7-6, 1-3-3) in a Pacific View League match.

  • Logan Reeder scored two goals, one on a penalty kick, and goalie Dylan Abdulhai stopped a penalty kick with one minute left in regulation to lift St. Bonaventure (3-2-1, 2-1) to a 2-1 victory over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

  • Kai Terentieff and Jeremy Larson each scored two goals and Connor Alballat, Ryan Spelts, Cole Ikenouye and Joseph Nandor had assists to lead Grace Brethren (5-3-1, 3-1-1) to a 4-3, double-overtime win over Laguna Blanca in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Arlene Yepez had two goals and an assist and Malia Tarazon scored a goal to lead Oxnard (12-2-3, 6-0-1) to a 3-2 victory over Buena in a Pacific View League match. Amalia Nolan finished with a goal and an assist, Daisy Cisneros scored a goal and Desire Lopez had an assist for the Bulldogs (5-10-3, 1-5-1).

  • Michelle Monroy finished with two goals and an assist, Valeria López scored two goals, Alyssa Rosales had a goal and three assists, and Natalie Garcia had an assist to lead Pacifica (6-6-3, 3-1-2) to a 5-2 victory over Channel Islands in a Pacific View League match.

  • Maddie Martinez and Jaidyn Wilson scored goals, Priya Torres had an assist, and Jadyn Buckley posted the shutout in net to lead Grace Brethren (6-2-1, 3-0) to a 2-0 win over St. Bonaventure (6-3-2, 2-2-1) in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Eva Goncalves and Riley Schneider scored goals and Adrianna Rodriguez had an assist to lead Foothill Tech to a 2-0 victory over Cate in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Danielle Bergstrom scored two goals on a free kick and a penalty shot and Amanda Baucher had a goal to lead La Reina (3-4-1, 2-3) to a 3-2 win over Laguna Blanca in a Frontier League match.

  • Catherine Feira finished with four goals, Jordan Yates had two goals and two assists, Hattie Hatton scored two goals, and Lily King made nine saves to lead Thacher (6-0-1, 4-0) to an 8-2 win over Bishop Diego in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Ciara Gallagher dished out a school-record 16 assists — which is tied for the second highest total for a girls player in Ventura County history — and added eight points and six steals, Kristan Yumul finished with 26 points and eight assists, and Mika Jarrett had 22 points and five rebounds to lead Oxnard (18-3, 3-0) to a 75-16 win over Channel Islands in a Pacific View League game.

  • Tiernan Phillips finished with 22 points and seven rebounds, Amaya Fuentes had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Alina Olivo had nine points and six rebounds to lead Ventura to a 66-43 victory over Pacifica (8-8, 3-2) in a Pacific Vie League game. Dani Henley had six points and four steals and Emily Rea had six points and five rebounds for the Cougars (13-6, 4-0).

  • Skyler Nerida had 11 points, five rebounds and two steals, Olivia Decierdo had eight points and nine steals, Skye Thomas finished with six points, eight rebounds and three steals, and Janelle Jimenez finished with five points, three rebounds and two blocks to lead Buena (5-8, 3-1) to a 39-17 win over Rio Mesa in a Pacific View League game.

  • Jocelyn Contreras finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists to lead Hueneme (5-9, 1-0) to a 44-27 victory over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League game.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Andrew Mojica scored 12 points, Sergio Coria-Carrasco had seven points, Daniel Renteria had six points and 13 rebounds, and Bryan Magana and Jordan Ramirez each added six points to lead Santa Paula (7-14, 3-3) to a 45-39 win over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League game. Chris Juanillo scored 11 points and Jesus Vasquez added 10 points for the Vikings (1-9, 0-3).

  • Willem Rutherford scored 11 points, Beckham Rutherford had 10 points, Evan Conant had seven points, and Campbell Gaston added five points for Nordhoff (11-8, 3-1) in its 38-37 loss to Malibu in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Dylan Benner and Nico Macias each finished with 10 points for St. Bonaventure (6-10, 1-3) in its 47-34 loss to Thacher (11-2, 2-1) in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Slayde Lowe finished with 28 points, five assists and four rebounds, Shawn Tuano had 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds, Gavin Day had 14 points and six rebounds, and Diesel Lowe had 13 points and four assists to lead Villanova Prep (12-6, 4-0) to a 93-66 win over Grace Brethren (5-13, 0-3) in a Frontier League game.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Ella Montano had four goals and two assists, Kelsee Espitia had three goals and an assist, Delaney Poulos had two goals and three assists, Martie Pecht and Abby Block each scored two goals, and goalie Kiana Kellner finished with 12 blocks, five steals and a goal to lead Ventura (19-4-1) to a 17-1 win over Pacifica in a Pacific View League game.

  • Rio Mesa defeated Buena 10-9 in a Pacific View League game. For the Bulldogs (11-12), Ava Williams had three goals and a steal, Marisa Fernandez had two goals and three steals, Kendall Nagaoka had two goals and a steal, Devin Varela had a goal and two steals, Gabby Swaim scored a goal, and goalie Kathryn Salazar finished with 17 blocks.

  • Villanova Prep defeated Malibu 14-3 in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Santa Paula lost 10-3 to Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game. Izabel Magana scored three goals and Jackie Lagunas made nine saves for the Cardinals (7-15, 2-2).
