THURSDAY'S GIRLS' BASKETBALL MATCHUPS

Terre Haute South (3-15) at Bloomington South (3-17)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Cole Berry, 3-15 in 1st year at TH South. Larry Winters, 316-192 in 23rd year at Bloomington South.

LAST OUTING: TH South defeated Charleston (Ill.), 48-24. Bloomington South lost to Martinsville, 42-41.

SERIES LAST 20 YEARS: Bloomington South, 19-3.

LAST MEETING: Bloomington South, 67-52, Jan. 21, 2021.

OUTLOOK: The Panthers will be out to bounce back from a last-second loss at Martinsville and pick up their first CI win of the season. THS has struggled all season, failing to reach 30 points 10 times, but comes in off an out-of-state win against the 1-13 Trojans.

Shakamak (9-9) at Eastern Greene (15-4)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Chase Rhoten, 21-39 in 3rd year at Shakamak. Greg Burton, 39-43 in 4th year at Eastern Greene.

LAST OUTING: Shakamak defeated Lighthouse Christian, 48-6. Eastern Greene lost to Greenwood, 37-23.

SERIES LAST 20 YEARS: Eastern Greene, 13-6.

LAST MEETING: Eastern Greene, 54-44, Jan. 23, 2020.

OUTLOOK: Big night for Eastern Greene, which sits 5-0 in SWIAC play heading into this contest. Lakers are just 2-4 over their last six, but ran through a tough stretch of schedule that included Edgewood, Sullivan, Linton and North Knox. T-Birds are 8-1 vs. 1A competition this year, the lone loss to No. 8 Trinity Lutheran.
