Three games Vikings fans could watch during the bye week

The Vikings will not be playing this week, so fans will have to find different games to watch.

Here are three matchups in Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season with regular-season implications for Minnesota.

Note: Minnesota’s next opponent, Dallas, also has a bye this week, so the Cowboys will not be on this list.

The Vikings play the Ravens in Week 9. This week, Baltimore faces off against Cincinnati, a familiar opponent for Minnesota. The Bengals defeated the Vikings in overtime in Week 1. This game could act as a good measurement for how Minnesota stacks up against Baltimore.

Washington Football Team vs. the Green Bay Packers

At 5-1, the Packers appear to be the best team in the NFC North. Minnesota still has yet to play them. In Week 7, Green Bay faces off against Washington. Vikings fans can watch how a good Washington defense approaches a division rival. However, this game is on at the same time as the Ravens-Bengals matchup, so you may have to switch back and forth.

Just like the Packers game, this matchup features an NFC North rival. Unlike that previous game, though, the Bears are playing a Super Bowl contender. It’s always fun to watch a quarterback as good as Tom Brady try to pick apart an opposing defense. Vikings fans can watch Brady try to do that against an inconsistent Bears team.
