— Two events will mark Juneteenth today, June 19. One is in West Duluth, from noon to 9 p.m. in Memorial Park on Grand Avenue. Features food, games and bounce house. Hosted by Queen Coca Hair. Another event will be at Central Hillside Park from 1-5 p.m. Free food, DJ, youth talent show at 2. Hosted by the NAACP and other local groups.

The Art of Tying Knots: Macramé Take & Make Kits, available at most local public libraries in our area, July 1-31. Learn the basic three knots of macramé and create a trendy micro-macramé zipper pull. A great hands-on opportunity to create an artistic gift or even start a new hobby. The program is geared toward adults and kids 10 and older. Please note each location has a limited number of kits.
