Then and now: reduced travel in Beijing ahead of Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year, which starts on February 1, is ordinarily the world's biggest annual migration when hundreds of millions of China's migrant workers return to home towns, but travel warnings over virus risks have deterred many this year.

China reported 64 new COVID-19 cases on the mainland on January 27, up from 63 cases a day earlier, the national health authority said on Friday.
