Let's celebrate 'The Simpsons' at 30 with Nancy Cartwright burning through all her voices on the show
Dec. 17 marks the 30th anniversary of the premiere of The Simpsons, which means Nancy Cartwright has been voicing the ageless animated rabble rouser Bart Simpson for just as long. And she can see herself — and the record-breaking show — going for much longer.
"Let’s see, do I still have a pulse?" Cartwright responded to Yahoo Entertainment during a 2017 interview when asked how long the show will go on. “I’ve still got another 20, 25 years in me. Seriously, I can totally do that.”
The 62-year-old Ohio native, who originally auditioned to play Bart's precocious sister, Lisa, does a host of other voices on the show: juvenile delinquents Nelson Muntz and Kearney; Chief Wiggum’s oddball son, Ralph; young neighbor (and son to Ned) Todd Flanders; the nerdy Database; and baby Maggie.
And Cartwright treated us to each of the voices in the video above.
