The Rush: Keenan Allen stampedes over Carli Lloyd’s NFL ambition

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE to see today’s piping-hot, fresh-outta-the-oven episode of THE RUSH with Jared Quay! We’ll let you know everything you didn’t know you needed to know about sports. Other stuff too. But mostly sports.

It’s Wednesday, August 28, 2019 and here’s what Jared’s cooking up:

  • Marshall Faulk has been working out with Ezekiel Elliott in Cabo San Lucas to help him stay in playing shape while the contract standoff continues.

  • Antonio Brown has a cold reply to Ben Roethlisberger's concern he ruined their friendship, saying they were “never friends” and to “shut up already.”

  • Carli Lloyd is strongly considering playing in the NFL, and Keenan Allen says if she ever got on an NFL field she'd get run over like Mufasa in "The Lion King."

  • American long-distance runner Zach Bitter set the 100-mile world record on Saturday with a time of 11:19:13, then ran for another 40 minutes to re-set his own 12-hour distance world record at 104.8 miles.

  • Mexican soccer team Club Puebla offers free beer to fans if the team loses again. Unfortunately there have been several scandals involving stadium vendors watering down beer. They can’t even score a full strength cerveza?

THE RUSH will be back tomorrow. Until then, you can check out the archived episodeshere.
