The David Pastrnak Show continues with hat-trick in 29 minutes

Every episode of The David Pastrnak Show provides the viewer with something new and something a bit different, but it’ll always be exciting. Unless you’re a Montreal Canadiens fan, tonight’s edition was quite a treat.

Pastrnak has established himself as the best scorer in the league - in the non-McDavid category, anyways - and put on an absolute clinic against the Canadiens on the road Tuesday, notching a hat trick in 29 minutes.

First, we start with a routine play from Pastrnak’s catalog. Boston’s vaunted power play opened the scoring on a Jake DeBrusk goal earlier in the first period, before Pastrnak got his turn. Charlie Coyle found a wide-open Pastrnak at the bottom of the faceoff circle, who wired a one-timer past a helpless Carey Price.

The show continued right as puck dropped for the second period. Pastrnak has earned the reputation as a dangerous scorer but unfortunately for the Canadiens Shea Weber completely backs off him, allowing the 23-year-old to wire a wrist shot past Price blocker-side, extending the Bruins’ lead to 4-1 eight seconds into the frame.

Finally, Pastrnak proved he doesn’t have to turn every play into a highlight-reel opportunity, simply deflecting a shot from Brandon Carlo into the cage to complete his hatrick, as Boston took a 6-1 lead.

To witness, Pastrnak did this all in just 29 minutes, and is up to 23 goals on the year. Scoring a hat trick against one of your team’s historic and current divisional rivals just makes Pastrnak’s accomplishment all the more sweeter.
