Texas wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Brennan Marion is being linked to the Tulsa head coaching job.

News broke yesterday that Tusla is firing longtime head coach Phillip Montgomery after eight seasons at the helm. Tusla finished the 2022 season missing out on a bowl game with a 5-7 record.

Marion has roots with Tulsa as he played wide receiver there from 2007-2008.

At just 35 years old, Marion’s coaching resume is quite impressive.

Marion was instrumental in the development of 2021 Biltnikof Award winner Jordan Addison at Pitt before moving on to Texas where Xavier Worthy led the Big 12 in receiving touchdowns. His “go-go” offense helped him climb up the coaching ranks of college football.

Losing Marion would be a brutal blow to Steve Sarkisian’s coaching staff at Texas. He proves to be an excellent recruiter and evaluator of talent.
