Texas fans, others react to bold prediction about Texas A&M

It’s talking season, or at least talking preseason in college football. As is always the case, bold takes abound on social media.

One recent take generated plenty of interaction, but might be difficult to live down this time next year.

National college football writer Brandon Marcello had the following to say about Jimbo Fisher’s team for the 2023 season.

Despite all the transfers and drama, Texas A&M can and should contend for an SEC championship in 2023.

I’ve been vocal about Alabama’s potential for drop off next season, but winning an SEC championship would be quite the feat for the Aggies. Last season saw the team go 5-7 and lose to Appalachian State.

Before the epic collapse, Texas A&M was considered a playoff contender last year. Many saw through that notion in recent seasons, but some bought into the Aggie hype.

Here’s a look at how some reacted to the bold prediction.
