Texas among top three schools for four-star OL Kam Dewberry

Shortly after the season ended, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff hit the road to visit with priority recruits.

The early signing period is approaching on Dec. 15, and there’s several sought-after offensive lineman that the Longhorns are still in contention to land. Four-star offensive lineman Kam Dewberry is one of the biggest names left on Texas’ board for the 2022 class.

On Thursday, Dewberry released the final three schools left in his recruitment. Texas A&M and Oklahoma made the cut alongside Texas. The 6-foot-4 interior offensive lineman will announce his decision on Dec. 15.

It’s no secret that Texas badly needs to bolster their offensive line this cycle. Whether it be via the high school ranks or transfer portal, Sarkisian will make it a priority to strengthen the performance in the trenches this offseason.

Dewberry is rated the No. 3 interior offensive lineman for the 2022 cycle and the No. 13 overall prospect in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports composite.
