Protesters clashed with police in Rome, Italy, on Monday, April 12, as restaurant and other business owners demanded the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

Around 500 demonstrators gathered under the IoApro movement – Italian for “I open” – for the second week in a row, la Repubblica reported. Police attempted to disperse the crowds with smoke and pepper bombs, the outlet reported.
