Tensions Amid 'White Lives Matter' Protest in Huntington Beach

Police declared an unlawful assembly in order to disperse an “unruly” crowd that had gathered in Huntington Beach, California, on Sunday, April 11.

Media reported that a planned “white lives matter” rally in Huntington Beach was promoted by a KKK-affiliated group, the Loyal White Knights of the KKK. The event was one of several planned “white lives matter” protests to be held across the United States, reports said.

The Huntington Beach chapter of Black Lives Matter said it was holding a counter-protest on Sunday, according to the organization’s flyer.
