NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans stunned the red-hot Buffalo Bills, 34-31, at Nissan Stadium on "Monday Night Football," improving to 4-2 on the season.

The Titans stuffed Bills quarterback Josh Allen on fourth-and-1 at the Titans' 2-yard line in the final seconds to preserve the win.

Brilliant goal-line stand

The Bills (4-2) had a fresh set of downs at the Titans' 12-yard line in the closing seconds of the game and couldn't punch in the winning touchdown.

The Bills advanced to just short of the 2 and opted to go for it on fourth down rather than force overtime.

Allen went under center to attempt a QB sneak on fourth-and-a-half-yard, but he was hit at the line of scrimmage and slipped while trying to push forward. He came up about a ball-length short of the first down.

"Didn't have the greatest footing," Allen said. "It happens."

The goal-line stand came after Derrick Henry's 13-yard run gave the Titans the lead. It was the seventh lead change of the game.

Henry rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carriers, averaging more than 7 yards per carry.

Henry entered Monday with the most rushing yards in the NFL, and he finished Monday night as the third back in history to rush for 750 yards and 10 touchdowns through six games. Eric Dickerson (1983) and Jim Brown (1958) are the others, according to ESPN.

Henry, who had a 76-yard TD run in the first quarter, has rushed for 783 yards and 10 TDs this season.

A.J. Brown back; Julio Jones out

A.J. Brown made his impact known Monday, especially in the second half. His effort was necessary after Julio Jones was ruled out in the second half with a hamstring injury.

Brown, after reportedly battling food poisoning on Saturday, caught a team-high seven passes for 91 yards.

Jones finished with three catches for 59 yards.
