Tennessee basketball SEC opponents announced, including home-and-home with Auburn

Tennessee basketball will face Auburn in a home-and-home series as part of its SEC slate in the 2022-23 season.

The SEC announced conference opponents Tuesday. Times, dates and television information will be released at a later date.

Mississippi State joins the Tigers as a rotating home-and-home series. UT has its permanent home-and-home series against Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee hosts Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Missouri at Thompson-Boling Arena. The Vols play at Florida, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

UT hosts Texas on Jan. 28, 2023, in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. UT lost 52-51 at Texas in January 2022. It is 4-0 in home games in the challenge.

The Vols face Maryland on Dec. 11 in Hall of Fame Invitational at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. UT is in the Battle 4 Atlantis from Nov. 23-25. UT's opponents have yet to be announced, but the field includes Butler, BYU, Dayton, Kansas, NC State, Southern Cal and Wisconsin.

Tennessee plays at Arizona on the back half of a home-and-home set. It will face Colorado in a neutral-side game in Nashville.

The remainder of the Vols' 2022-23 nonconference schedule will be released at a later date.
