Through three and a half quarters, it was just your standard AAC Thursday night game. Temple was up 27-10 with 490 total yards against East Carolina, and was driving yet again in the fourth quarter.
And then the lights went out.
With less than four minutes remaining in the game, Temple quarterback Anthony Russ connected with wide receiver Jadan Blue in the backfield. Blue was quickly brought down for a one-yard gain. As he fell, darkness hit the field.

What followed was a 15-minute delay as East Carolina waited for its stadium lights to warm back up. It was later reported that a power outage was responsible for the situation.
As both teams waited to take the field again, things got weird in Greenville.
Once the lights went back on, Temple’s drive stalled out and East Carolina’s comeback attempt came well short, losing 27-17.
