Yahoo News Teenager saves six lives through organ donation after dying in tragic skateboarding accident
A teenager who died in a skateboarding accident has helped save the lives of six people from the donation of his organs.
Tragic Max Hamilton, 19, died after he hit his head when he lost control but passed away “doing what he loved” according to his mum Tracey.
She described Max as a "beautiful soul" and said the family were still in shock at his untimely death on July 27.
But she added that in Max's death he will save six lives, as his organs including his heart, lungs and kidneys will be donated to those in need.
Tracey, from Plymouth, Devon, said: "It is still a massive shock for us all, but Max saved six people by donating his heart, lungs and kidneys.
"That is the sort of person he was, so courageous and caring.
"Max's love for his family was way beyond expectation, he just made life pleasant just having him in our life.
"He was a beautiful brother to three sisters and he was the most wonderful son.
"He was never shy or embarrassed giving me a kiss on the cheek in front of his friends. He was such an affectionate and loving son.”

A fundraising page has now been set up in memory of Max, and Tracey said she wants to continue to raise money so that other parents won't have to go through what they have been through.
She said: "We don't want this to happen to any other parents. Max's accident was so tragic and we want to design a type of headgear that kids will wear.
"The headgear out there serves a purpose but they aren't wearing it because it's just not cool.
"The headgear will be designed by skaters to encourage people to wear protection whilst skateboarding."
